invenzione
empatia
L’atelierista è un educatore con competenze artistiche e tecniche: egli progetta e offre contesti in cui realizzare esperienze straordinarie:
giochi di luce,
immagini da indagare,
materiali da esplorare e combinare
L'educatore deve essere una figura presente ma non invasiva: egli non deve mai sostituirsi al bambino nella sua attività di esplorazione e autocostruzione di conoscenza. Il bambino deve essere rispettato e lasciato libero di esplorare, toccare (o non toccare), sperimentare.

Gli atelier presenti all'interno del Centro Internazionale Loris Malaguzzi sono costruiti in partnership con altre competenze (architetti, pedagogisti, fisici, ingegneri, biologi, danzatori, musicisti, medici…).
In occasione di celebrazioni e ricorrenze importanti si creano Atelier tematici che possono essere estemporanei o continuativi come per esempio lo spazio
Una spilla in viaggio (dove creare la propria spilla e portare in viaggio i diritti)
Nella varie Scuole collegate al Reggio Children Approach, sono presenti Atelier di vario genere in cui i bambini sono invitati a sperimentare la propria creatività e ricerca. Ecco qualche esempio:

Kristel Sundari, durante l'Anno scolastico 2018-19 (15-20 mesi ) ha potuto vivere gli Atelier e le proposte correlate di H-IS Mandorla a Monza.
A partire dall'Anno scolastico 2019-20 (23 in poi) vive e sperimenta gli Atelier e le proposte correlate presso il Centro Internazionale Loris Malaguzzi a Reggio Emilia ( durante gli incontri mensili della domenica "bambini al centro")
